Set up email on an Android phone
Add your Hosteaze email address to Gmail or another Android mail app.
- Open the Gmail app, tap your profile picture then Add another account then Other.
- Type your full email address and choose Next.
- Choose Personal (IMAP) then enter your password.
- For incoming settings use server
mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, security SSL/TLS. The username is your full email address. - For outgoing settings use server
mail.yourdomain.com, port 465, security SSL/TLS, with the same username and password. - Finish the remaining screens.
Other mail apps (Samsung Email, Outlook, BlueMail) ask for the same details; see email settings.
Tip. If setup fails with a "can't connect securely" message, check that the server name starts with mail. and finishes with your own domain, not a generic one.
